Last week, I was on spring break bumming in a cabin and hiking a lot of trails (you might understand the deeper meaning behind Blue Paper Trail now…haha) in the Smokies! Thus, I didn’t make a “weekly spread” because the last thing I wanted was to think about school work. So instead, I made this memories page and didn’t plan anything besides meals and hikes!
I’ve also written about a photo challenge I did, which gives you a better idea of what we got to see! You can read about it here.
If you’re interested in visiting the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, I highly recommend it! It’s my second time going and there’s so many miles of trail and views to discover. Most of my research for hiking was done using the book Top Trails: Great Smoky Mountains National Park: Must-Do Hikes for Everyone by Johnny Molloy. The website http://www.hikinginthesmokys.com is also super helpful!
The trails we hiked are:
- Chimney Tops (4 miles)
- Laurel Falls (2.6 miles)
- Charlie’s Bunion via Appalachian Trail (8 miles)
- Rocky Top via Lead Cove & Bote Mountain Trails (11.6 miles)
- Mt. Cammerer via Low Gap (11.2 miles)
In the past, I’ve also hiked:
- Abrams Falls
- Mt. Leconte via Alum Cave
And in case you’re curious, the pens I used for these sketches are these exact ones and I LOVE them!
