Weekly Spread: 2/15/16 Recap

Last week was a good week! I had the chance to finish up a scarf I’ve been working on for nearly five weeks now. You can see more about it here. I also was finally able to start up training again! It felt good just to run and stretch my legs out. I had weirdly sore areas from lack of mobility the last 4 months, but I’m happy to say that I can run almost pain free! The bad news is that my fitness level is back to where it was last May, before I began running, so it will be a test to keep chuggin’ away. One of the things that keeps me going is knowing that I’ve done it before.

During the end of the week, I attended a conference near Cleveland on ethnic identity and faith. It was a much-needed time of learning and reflection. One of the pages of my journal was the bubbling over of something I really needed to get out for a long time now, but I just didn’t know it.

I also have a favor to ask, if you are a praying person — for my friends in/from the Kalamazoo area who are hurting from the shootings that occurred last weekend. Please pray for peace and healing in their lives. Thank you!

If you would like more info on my training plan, I’ll write more on it in a future post, so be sure to subscribe.

The week ended well with the Arise conference, where I got to see old friends again 🙂

I missed one day of training this week — alas, can’t be perfect!
